Instructor Alain Charmasson,a 27 year veteran pilot from the port of Le Havre, discusses berthing manoeuvres with two Russian captains who are udergoing training at Port Revel. Instructors follow on boats equipped with computers that give them real-time telemetry from the trainees’ ships. Their courses are plotted by GPS and the plots are reviewed later.
