Machinist Joseph Spitalieri in his workshop. Over the past 15 years he has crafted many of the unique parts and mechanisms that allow the models at Port Revel to handle precisely as life sized ships at sea. To achieve this verisimittude he and the designers at Port Revel use confidential performance and design data provided by shipbuilders and their owners. Consequently the inner working of the models are a closely guarded secret.
