King George V Colonnade on the Bexhill seafront, East Sussex, EnglandLights glow over the King George V Colonnade on the Bexhill seafront on a warm July evening. Built in 1911 to commemorate the coronation of King George V, the Colonnade was designed to offer a sheltered venue for beachside concerts and amusements. Its classical domes and balustrades make for an interesting juxtaposition with the modernist De La Warr Pavilion which sits just above it on the promenade.
